Ben Chase is the Chief Operating Officer at IDEO.org. He leads the organization in setting and realizing its strategy and guides its operations and finance functions. Previously, Ben served as the Managing Director of IDEO.org’s US portfolio. In that role he built new partnerships and guided design teams to deliver projects focused on financial inclusion, health equity, and government and nonprofit service delivery. Ben also served as co-lead of the New York studio.

Immediately prior to joining IDEO.org, Ben served as senior strategy director at Purpose, a mission-driven consultancy and creative agency building social movements on global issues. There Ben worked with philanthropy, nonprofits, and corporate brands to create impact on a range of issues spanning climate change, education, and gun violence.

Ben holds an MBA from NYU’s Stern School of Business with a specialization in marketing and an MFA in design and technology with honors from Parsons School of Design. Outside of work, Ben can usually be found in the woods in hiking boots, running shoes, or on a pair of skis.
