As a Portfolio Coordinator, Nicole works collaboratively and creatively with IDEO.org’s US Portfolio Team to support project teams achieve compelling and impactful results.

Before joining IDEO.org, Nicole worked at a direct service criminal justice nonprofit that provides alternative-to-incarceration programs. She was responsible for administrative and operational support dedicated to serving underserved communities. 

Nicole's Portuguese Azorian roots and experience growing up in the Bay Area inspired her interest in social justice and desire to cultivate change. As a result, she obtained her BA in Criminal Justice from San Francisco State University and is currently pursuing her Master of Public Administration. 

When Nicole is not at work or school, she finds much joy in traveling with her partner, especially to the tropics with lots of beach time and Latin music surrounded by rich cultures and delicious foods.
